I'm back!

I am a loser. I have succeeded in dropping the virtual ball that is my contributions to the blog. I could spout off tons of excuses (SATs, school work, soccer) but the fact is that I dropped the ball. I solemnly swear to resume regular posting!

Ok, apologies aside, we've got a busy month. To let you all know what you can expect from me, here is a little schedule.
  • A much belated review of Big Sur and the corresponding albumn, One Fast Move or I'm Gone (from Jay Farrar and my favorite, Ben Gibbard)
  • Another belated review of Brief Interviews with Hideous Men (also starring my favorite)
  • A review of the Matt Hires concert (November 13) [Chloe should attend this as well...*Cough cough*]
  • A review of the Built to Spill concert (November 21)
  • Perhaps a list of fun sites to visit
  • An anecdote or two about life, maybe
  • And...if you're lucky and I have the means...a song from me?

So, now that I'm back on the blogging train, I promise to commit. Let me know what you think we should cover in the comments section.

October it is...

Two GREAT things are being released this month; so exciting I can hardly stand it. These awesome-ies come from completely different ends of the spectrum, but they're still amazing...

1) BIG SUR - Ben Gibbard, (yes! THE Mr. Ben, frontman of the great DCFC and newly wed, check previous post by Katie!),  collabo with Jay Farrar. How could this soundtrack to Jack Kerouac's Big Sur NOT be amazing with these power-twins at the helm? Yeah...there's no way...it's going to be great...I might drool. No, scratch that...I WILL drool. Look out, October 20th....here she comes...

2) THE TEEN VOGUE HANDBOOK - Not only a book with great photography, modeling, styling, and designing; it's a book ABOUT great photography, modeling, styling, designing, and how do do it yourself. The original Vogue is pretty known for being a standard in the field of fashion and the 'teen' counterpart is just as awesome..(erm...I mean educatonal, and such..:D.)  It's called "An insider's guide to careers in fashion" and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on it...Ahhh! October 5th! Get it quick!
