Smells like SCHOOL Spirit...

Ok - So I nearly forgot to mention this...it's spirit week. We all know that with Homecoming comes Spirit Week, and with Spirit Week comes some really crazy and wacky dress up days. This year's schedule:

Monday: Pajama Day...(this one is hard core tradition, every year the students get to look forward to spending all day lounging in slippers, robes, blankies, the works.)

Tuesday: Gamer Day...(not just video games, as it sounds like. We had some people dressed like dice and girls dolled up like the 'Deal or No Deal' ladies...we modernized it.)

Wednesday: Greek Day...(break out the sheets and slip em' on like togas! There were some really great get-ups here...I personally donned a baby-pink Hello Kitty sheet.)

Thursday: Movie/Cartoon Character Day...(I'm so pumped for this one! I'm not really sure at all what I'm going to be, perhaps a blonde, tall, un-freckled Shirley Temple? Hmm..it's going to take some thinking...)

Friday: SPIRIT DAY!...(Now this is the blowout dress-up day of the week! Everywhere you look is Blue and Silver, our school colors of course! We break out the vintage football jerseys, volleyball uniforms, and yes - the boys always gotta wedge on the old volleyball shorts...what a sight. We've had a few kids dye themselves blue and attack their hair with silver spraypaint. That's dedication.)

What are YOUR Homecoming plans? Any new and insane realms of school spirit?

(Photos: Upper Right: Katie ROCKS the banana suit! Here's a little secret...those of us who couldn't think up any games to dress up as created our own day, FOOD DAY! Katie's doing the produce while I was a Cupcake in a VERY flouncy and bouncy Vintage-DIY dress...awesome.)
